FAQs

Why did you create Positive Post Co.?

Imagine walking to your mailbox and finding an unexpected piece of happy mail from a dear friend. How delightful is this joy-filled experience? Amazing, right? That’s why we’re here! Now imagine wanting to send your friend a note or a postcard but not having the materials, stamp, time, or the memory to send it. That’s also why we’re here! Let’s be real, you’re a really great friend but finding a card, address, clever saying, stamp, and mailbox/post office is a lot of steps to deliver some unexpected joy! We’ve done our best to remove as many as we can. All you need is $10 and an address!

What is Positive Post Co.’s mission?

Our mission is spreading love and connection through sustainable postcards. We do this by using recycled materials and removing barriers along the way.

When will my order ship?

Orders typically ship next business day...no need to delay a little happy mail! Though please note, we are moving and all orders placed April 25 through May 9, 2021 will ship Monday, May 10, 2021.

When will my order arrive?

We send our cards via first class mail from Georgia. Please estimate seven business days from placing your order to its arrival (except where noted above).

Can I track my order?

We send our cards via first class mail, but tracking is not available at this time. As we grow, tracking options may be added.

How can I get free shipping?

Shipping is free with every order! We’re all about spreading love and connection and removing barriers along the way.

Do you have any promo codes?

We aim to keep our prices low from the start and don’t currently have any promo codes available. You can save up to 20% off by buying in bulk!

Sending mail seems pretty unsustainable. What are your sustainability practices?

All of our materials are 100% post consumer waste and printed with inks that have a lower impact on our environment. While we agree, sending nothing would be better on our environment, it wouldn’t be good for our mental and emotional health. We are constantly looking for ways to reduce our carbon footprint and are open to any suggestions you may have.

How can I recycle the contents of my purchase?

Our envelopes and postcards (stamps and all!) can be recycled in a standard recycling bin. With the stamp removed, they can be added to compost bins as well. The twine can be reused, directly composted, or given to a bird in need of some nest building materials.

Can I really recycle envelopes or cards with a postage stamp?

Yes! We use stamps and adhesives that are “environmentally benign and recycling compatible.” Find out more ways to ship sustainably here: https://about.usps.com/what/corporate-social-responsibility/sustainability/what-you-can-do/

Why is my stamp crooked?

Stamps are basically stickers. Our little one loves helping Mama and Pop, which often leads to stamping cards and envelopes. Please view a crooked stamp as a little extra dose of love! And please know, the post office will still accept your postcard!

Why would I pay $10 for four postcards when I can buy one in a store for a dollar?

This is definitely a personal decision. While cheaper postcards are available, we do our best to keep prices low and create beautiful, environmentally friendly products. We also offer free shipping and all postcards are prestamped, saving you the hassle of finding a postcard stamp. You can also save up to 20% by buying in bulk! If you’re still questioning the price, check out our price breakdown below.
